Any person wanting to file a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy or Chapter 13 Bankruptcy is required by law to attend a credit counseling course prior to filing the bankruptcy and a debt management class after you file the bankruptcy. Typically, the credit counseling course costs $25.00 (per person or per couple) and the debt management course costs $35.00 (per person or per couple).
